Saxapahaw General Store Catering

Over the last ten years, Saxapahaw General Store has created hundreds of beautiful and delicious events as the primary wedding caterer for Haw River Ballroom. They offer a wide variety of fresh, unique, farm-to-table options for nearly any palate and any size party, from picnic-style pulled pork to salmon Wellington. They can help you create the look and feel of a wide range of styles, from a relaxed, intimate picnic to a formal, family-style dinner. They staff a dedicated team of professionals who know the Ballroom inside and out, and they are able to provide responsibly-sourced, seasonally-selected food and impeccable, detailed service that will make your special occasion memorable in the best ways.


Tandem

Tandem Restaurant & Catering is a ‘dream come true for Co-Owners Chef Younes Sabouh and GM Emma Sabouh. After working together for many years they decided to take the plunge in April 2016 and open their own space in Carrboro, where they live and raise their family.

The core focus of Tandem Restaurant & Catering is to offer delicious food coupled with exceptional service in a beautiful surrounding. Allowing our guests to relax and be wowed when celebrate anything and everything they choose.  

The name Tandem reflects the closeness of their working and personal relationship. Tandem has been a life long dream for the couple, a dream that has come true in 2016, a dream that they want to share with everyone.

Tandem offers catering to many offsite locations throughout the Triangle from corporate gatherings, bar mitzvahs, birthdays, weddings, etc. Every event is different but they all require one important thing  and that is attention to detail. From the first meeting, through planning, tastings, site visit, set up, service and delivery Tandem is there for you with a staff of dedicated professionals all working towards making your special event the best.


Vimala’s Curryblossom Café

Vimala Rajendran has been cooking in the South since 1985 and in 1994, she gave Chapel Hill a community gathering space and refuge at her restaurant, Vimala’s Curryblossom Café. Her restaurant is a cheery choice for farm-sourced Indian fare from her roots in her homestate of Kerala, and Mumbai as well as other parts of India, with vegan and gluten-free options that are well known throughout the Triangle. Vimala believes that delicious, wholesome food is a human right and her business motto is “Vimala cooks, everyone eats”, so no one is ever turned away from her restaurant.


Left Bank Butchery

Located next to the Ballroom, Left Bank Butchery is a whole animal butchery specializing in house-made charcuterie. We are able to make charcuterie boards of any size for your event. Each one includes a selection of freshly made charcuterie (smoked sausages, cured meats, pâtés, rillettes, etc.) along with bread, pickles, and other condiments, and comes with a sign explaining its components and sourcing. We are also happy to include cheeses and other options to accommodate vegetarians. The board will come accompanied by a member of our team to keep the spread looking beautiful. If you're looking for something short of a full-service meal, our charcuterie plates offer a low-fuss option that is both substantial and visually appealing.


Fireside Farm

Located in Efland, NC, not too far from Saxapahaw, Lisa & Randall bought the land that is now Fireside Farm in 2007. near the Cane Creek Reservoir Their 9-acre lot was converted into a retreat space in 2010, but in 2017, Lisa & Randall made their dream come true to turn their home into a farm devoted to sustainable living, growing high quality flowers and caring for their community. Since then, Fireside Farm has brought their beautiful flowers into Haw River Ballroom and converted our venue into a colorful and even more magical wonderland.


Mark Maya Photography

Serving Durham's coolest couples since 2012, Mark Maya creates custom film and photo packages for unique weddings at the Haw River Ballroom. Focused on storytelling, Mark captures the intimate, authentic moments of the couple's wedding day through creative filmmaking and photography.
